Nutrition
Food does more than fuel our bodies. It supports our minds, our emotions, and our capacity to heal.

Making Sense of a Complicated Relationship With Food
Many people arrive at eFIT with a complicated relationship with food and their bodies. After years of dieting, conflicting nutrition advice, food rules, and attempts to control their weight, eating can become anything but intuitive. You may find yourself caught between restriction and overeating, preoccupied with food, disconnected from hunger and fullness, or feeling like you are constantly fighting against your own body.
At eFIT, we slow all of this down.
Nutrition-Forward, Not Diet Culture
Our registered dietitians work alongside our psychology and health team to help you understand the science of nutrition, metabolism, weight, appetite, and eating behaviour. We help separate evidence from the enormous amount of misinformation surrounding food and bodies, while bringing nutrition back to what it was always meant to do: nourish you. Ultimately, we want to help you step out of diet culture and move toward food freedom, where eating takes up less mental space and nourishment becomes an act of care rather than control.
Our approach is nutrition-forward without encouraging micromanagement, rigidity, or fear around food. We help members reconnect with hunger and satiety cues, understand what their bodies need, and develop patterns of eating that are balanced, flexible, satisfying, and sustainable. This program is meant for anyone wanting a better relationship with food and their body, but for those struggling with disordered eating or eating disorders, care is thoughtfully adapted to support recovery and appropriate nourishment.

Beyond What You Eat: Body Image
And because our relationship with food is often inseparable from our relationship with our bodies, nutrition at eFIT goes beyond what you eat. Our body image programming helps you explore the shame, self-criticism, comparison, and pressure that can make living in your body feel like a constant battle. We are not interested in teaching you to love how your body looks every day. We want to help you build something deeper: a relationship with your body grounded in respect, acceptance, attunement, and care.
The goal is not to spend your life controlling your body. It is to learn how to listen to it, nourish it, care for it, and ultimately have more freedom to live your life fully.
